The Clinic

Dr. David Sitt is a premier specialist in the assessment and mindfulness-based treatment of adult ADHD/ADD. With an emphasis on assessment, therapy and coaching, Dr. Sitt helps clients develop a strengths-based toolkit utilizing an array of validated techniques. Through the use of CBT, meditation, mindfulness, and executive function training, clients are able to gain skills to maximize their lives with ADHD. Dr. David Sitt - ADHD Specialist

Dr. David Sitt is a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in New York City. As the founder and president of the Mindful Consulting Group, Dr. Sitt conducts one-on-one therapy, coaching, and meditation training with a diverse client population. He specializes in the assessment and treatment of adults with ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders. Dr. Sitt uses a strength based approach consistent with positive psychology and is certified in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Dr. Sitt's therapeutic style captures cutting edge techniques used in CBT, Psychodynamic, and Phenomenological orientations. 

 Dr. Sitt is on Faculty in the Dept. of Psychology at Baruch College (CUNY), where he has been teaching since 2001. Dr. Sitt has conducted grant-funded research exploring the impact of technology on interpersonal communication, social engagement, and emotional well-being. His courses include Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Positive Psychology, as well as master-level courses in mental health counseling. As a teacher, Dr. Sitt transforms 400-student lectures into intimate classroom experiences where the students in the last row participate as if they were in the first. Dr. Sitt's passion for teaching has led to him being ranked #8 in the country on RateMyProfessor.com, among other accolades.

Dr. Sitt’s previous clinical experiences includes working in highly esteemed centers such as the Hallowell Center, NYU Child Study Center, NYU School of Medicine, and the Institute of Behavior Therapy. In these institutions, he researched adult and adolescent ADHD, learning disabilities, PTSD, and CBT modalities. His research and studies in these areas has enabled him to treat his clients with a refined knowledge based on a wide range of experiences.

Dr. Sitt has found creative ways to use his educational expertise outside of the academic sphere. He has worked with clients such as WeWork, Stamford Hospital, Naked, McGraw Hill, Research Insight Group, and The Howard Stern Show. Dr. Sitt has presented lectures at elementary and high schools such as Barkai Yeshivah, Magen David Yeshivah, and the Yeshivah of Flatbush to educate both students and parents on the impact of technology on our communication and emotions.
